I just plugged it in to use it for the first time and it stinks like melting plastic and it’s very HOT. Seems dangerous. Returning it. Not really prepared for the thing to blow up on me.

First time I used it the paint inside the lid burned and put toxic fumes on the meat. Also, the heating element kept turning off, Store said it has to be burned off before using but there were no instructions and the lid is a thin metal so I would be worried to do that.

Contacted company to return. Thought it was for outside use, my mistake, hard to get all I fo when your blind.Never opened box to eval productThe rep gave me the hardest time to set up return. Took multiple conversations to get the return set up. Nasty about my return reason. Took over a week to get issue resolved now in just waiting for my refundCompany should look at the people that work for them, no quality control there.

Putting it together was frustrating because several screws and wing nuts were missing. But luckily I had a few that fit. But other than that this baby is very nice. I thought that I wouldn't like it because I'm accustomed to a charcoal grill. But I like that I didn't have to deal with flare ups and burning the meat.

Works very well, though too rack is really too close to the bottom/primary grill. Great construction - instead of the usual bag of parts, all the parts (nuts/washers) were ON the screws that they would end up on! Easily assembled as a result. Why don't other companies do this!

Aw, man, I thought this electric grill would be powerful enough to put a nice char on my potatoes and burgers on this fifty-five degree day. Nope. Maybe I’m doing it wrong? Even at the highest temperature, and with the cover closed, it just doesn’t get very hot. Maybe I could put charcoal briquettes in and make it a charcoal grill? :-)
