With the right Amp these will shine...Bought these due to reviews saying they sounded nice musically. I needed a pair of speakers to practice material, repeated recordings, of segments of songs , onto CD's for learning drum solo's , difficult sections etc. Had to have something fairly loud but not too big, so I wouldn't drown them out with drums. Reading info on DJ amps, crazy cheap, with huge , per ch. claims, I noticed "Humm" issues, distortion rates and signal to noise rates which were really lousy. (audible) I decided to try home stereo amps first. I hooked them up to a Yamaha receiver rated 115W per side 8ohm and (4ohm rated)....not pretty,.. amp struggled, MTX's sounded pathetic. I had an old Class A/B, 2 Chan. Rotel Pre and Amp rated at 135 a side in 8ohm., to try as well. Hooked up MTX's and they came alive, and they sounded pretty darn nice, clean, loud, perfect , especially at price point, a lot of bang for your buck. DJ's will need a sub, with them, but perfect for my needs, very clean sound at high volumes, musically pleasing. Can't tell on longevity, but build is solid, clean. Post and 1/4" plugs hook-up choice, is a nice as well. Reviews saying they didn't sound great, try changing your amp.. .

A lot smaller than they looked in pics which I do not mind but it's not even the proper dimensions for a 12in subwoofer. They say 150 watts RMS 300 Max yet my 200 watt stereo would Def blow them if I cranked it up. I'm really disappointed. So if you got an amp I would not even bother buying these. Wish this company would contact me and make it right.

We ordered two of these speakers along with a large Polk Audio center speaker. After months of testing our sound system sounds better with the surround sound turned off and only the left and right speakers(MTX) playing. No subwoofer necessary, these speakers make the house rattle and vibrate stuff off our shelves.

You cannot buy a set of speakers that sound better than these or that play as loud for the money. That being said I do use an inuke6000 amp to power them, so you definitely need some juice to get the best out of them.

These arrived even faster than I thought they would, an very nice surprise. They are sturdy and sound great out in my workshop. I am not using them for gig work or a PA, they are for entertainment while I work on cars. They sound great, get loud, and so far I love them.

For the price point they are great! They have nice bass and highs. If you try to drive a ton of bass through them they will distort but if you tune them right, you will have a great sounding system without the need of a sub. These things can get loud! I have 2 of them in my garage and they can get so loud you can’t actually be in the garage because they hurt your ears and they do that without distorting. If you are looking at these speakers I say buy them you can’t beat the quality for the price.
