I use this to weigh my python once a month. Serves its purpose. Feels cheap, and took a while to decide it wanted to work properly. But once it was working I didn't have any problems with it. Lightweight and easy to use, and just big enough for my snake.

It was fine the first few uses. Now it says low will not register at all. I compared its OZ with my older model and it was off. Waste of money

beans. It has been reliable and the batteries are still working. The convenience factor is nice as it auto tares (zeroes) the weight every time you start it up with a bowl on it. A nice purchase and it works fine. You won't be unhappy with this scale...

I can't believe what a lifesaver this product is for the inexpensive price tag... I have used it to weigh my candle wax since I got it (I pour candles) and can't believe I ever lived without it. It was such a great deal that it paid for itself within a matter of minutes.

This digital scale is so much more accurate than the prvious mechanical scale I used. I love the tare feature and the fact that I can add or subtract and this scale keeps accurate weight tally no matter the adjustments.

Drains battery really quickly. We have to remove battery when not in use if we want to weight things more then twice.

You may already know this. I find it important when I'm buying measurement equipment. Taylor Precision Products is a US based company. They go back over 150 years. Their corporate headquarters are in Illinois. I should add that I’ve got three Taylor digital scales; each one with unique features. This kitchen scale is just that, designed for the kitchen. My other two scales are being used in my coffee lab. I’m involved in the Specialty Coffee Industry, and have a small roasting and brewing lab at home. I depend on, and never worry about, the accuracy and reliability of those two other scales. One is used for weighing green (unroasted) beans going to our proofing roasters. And the other is being used for small weight shipments, and even small US mail items. So about this kitchen scale... Unlike the other two I have, it's got a plastic case; easy to wipe clean what with liquids and sauces being weighed. It’s also one of the larger compact scales offered by Taylor. And as you can see, It comes with a decent sized weighing bowl. Add all that up, and if it were metal, it would be a bit hefty. The white colored molded plastic, from a design standpoint, also works well in our kitchen. The display type is a non-illuminated Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). They consume less battery energy, thereby allowing for the small button battery, which saves weight. Typically, kitchens are well lit. So having sufficient ambient or area lighting is a given, and makes viewing the display easy.About the battery... This kitchen scale uses a single CR2032 button battery. It’s reasonably inexpensive and available in inexpensive multi-packs. You’ll also find CR2032s are used in many other small devices in your home. And this scale, again, can survive for quite a long time on this one cell, as the LCD displays are very energy efficient. Leave it alone for a minute, and it'll automatically turn itself off.The included 5 cup measuring bowl is dishwasher safe. It’s also fitted to the scale, which makes it very secure when you’ve got liquids like soups or sauces. You’ll note that whenever you turn on the scale with the included bowl or any small container, the scale automatically sets itself to ZERO. So as you add to your bowl or container, you’ll see the true weight. This is the auto-tare function. If you turn on the scale without your container, you can then put it on the weighing table and manually push the TARE button to zero out the scale. Nice feature! As you can figure, I do like the Taylor brand. And yes, I do and have recommended Taylor scales to family and friends.

This is a standard digital scale that is powered by an included watch battery. Panel access does not require tools. The scale reads by the 0.05 oz or 1 g at the minimum though with my torsion balance weights, you probably do not want to measure less than 10 g as there is an error involved. This measures up to 3 kg but I would be worried about overloading the scale above 2 kg. The bowl is washable in the dishwasher and is nonreactive. I would not recommend using the bowl for anything but measuring though you can put another bowl and tare the scale. I would not measure anything directly on the scale without a bowl or weigh paper. This is a nice scale for small weight ingredient use and the complimentary bowl is nice for either dry or wet ingredients.
